Chandell & Lucas’ Intimate Vancouver Wedding | Rainy Day Wedding Portraits at Vancouver Public Library

Chandell & Lucas’ wedding was a perfect example of how love finds its way - sometimes in the most unexpected circumstances. They met just before the world shut down in 2020, and their connection was so magical that they decided to move in together for lockdown, after only their third date. Fast forward to 2025, and they tied the knot in an intimate plant-filled ceremony in their Vancouver apartment, surrounded by close family and friends.

There’s something incredibly special about getting married in your own space - where love has already made a home. Their apartment, filled with lush greenery, set a romantic and personal backdrop for their heartfelt vows. The intimate setting made every moment feel even more meaningful.

Vancouver’s unpredictable weather didn’t stop us from capturing some stunning wedding portraits. The Vancouver Public Library provided the perfect covered location, with its grand architecture adding a unique touch to their couple’s photos. If you’re planning a rainy wedding in Vancouver, this is a fantastic portrait location option!

After the ceremony and portraits, Chandell & Lucas celebrated with friends and family, over a buffet-style dinner at The Hoxton in Gastown - known for its warm ambiance and stylish décor. The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, laughter, and a full dance floor thanks to a roster of incredible DJs.
